Call for Papers, Presentations and Panels

We welcome submissions and invite presentations or panels from participants. Your papers, panels, or presentations could cover any field of research concerning business law or the pedagogy of business law. Papers are not required to present at the conference.

Distinguished Paper Deadline: The deadline for paper submissions (to be considered for the Distinguished Paper award) is midnight, April 19, 2026. Additional papers may be submitted after that date but will not be considered for the award. We also welcome presentations (with or without paper).

Publication Opportunities: Completed papers are not required at the conference. However, this conference offers participants a paper development opportunity where papers can be presented via a workshop format, and where the submission and potential publication of a paper in The Review of Enterprise and Trade Law (formerly the Asper Review and the Desautels Review), an imprint of the peer-reviewed, open access Manitoba Law Journal is available. Papers must be submitted to the journal by July 1, 2026 for timely publication.

Present: If you are planning to present and/or submit a paper to our conference, please send an email with your name, the title of the presentation or paper, and a brief summary of the content on or before April 1, 2026 to Dr. Laura Reimer: c/o CALSB President laura.reimer@umanitoba.ca for consideration by the Conference Planning Committee.

If you require any more information about CALSB or our Conference, please contact Laura Reimer at laura.reimer@umanitoba.ca.
